There will be a Blessing of the Bikes (motorcycles) in memory of Nate Woodworth of Enfield, Conn. on Saturday, May 21 at 10 a.m. at Sunrise Park. Nate was taken from us in a tragic accident in August 2020 while assisting a co-worker who had broken down on the side of the road, leaving his wife and three daughters and many family members and friends absolutely heartbroken. In addition to spending quality time with his family and friends, riding his motorcycle was among his greatest passions.
The Blessing of Bikes will be offered by Pastor Mark Jette from Sacred Heart Church. Pastor Jette performed the Blessing of the Bikes last year and did such a beautiful job that he and everyone who participated wanted to make it an annual event. All riders are welcome! There is no fee for the blessing, but a donation is encouraged and will go directly to Suffield Community Aid. Following the blessing, all riders are welcome to join the organizers for a two-hour group ride ending up at the Broad Brook Brewery on Route 75 in Suffield for a late lunch and fellowship.
