Blessing of the Animals:
Sacred Heart parish will celebrate the Feast of St. Francis of Assisi with the Blessing of the Animals on October 1 at 1 p.m. in the prayer garden on the Sacred Heart campus between the church and Fr. Ted Hall. There is no fee, but the Youth Ministry members will be collecting dry and canned pet foods as well as new pet toys, blankets, and towels to be donated to area animal shelters and agencies that assist pet owners. All pets need to be on a leash or in a pet carrier for the safety of all animals and people.
