The Rev. Justin A. Cox, Senior Pastor at Second Baptist Church, was officially welcomed to Second Baptist and the Suffield Community on Sunday, November 6 during his Installation Service. Participants in the service included local clergy, professional associates across Connecticut, mentors who have been influential in his faith journey through the years as well as members of Second Baptist. A time of informal sharing followed in the Fellowship Hall.

Second Baptist Church will participate with the Suffield community in Suffield Alight on Friday, December 2, 6-8 p.m. The Common Room will be open for visitors, and outdoor activities are planned. Hot chocolate will be available!

After church on Sunday, December 4, at 11 a.m., the Advent Craft Fair will take place in Fellowship Hall. Crafts for all ages will be available to complete.

Second Baptist Church is hosting an American Red Cross Blood Drive on Wednesday, December 7, in our Fellowship Hall. For an appointment, please visit redcrossblood.org or call 1-800-RED CROSS (1-800-733-2767).

Join us for a special Advent Sunday service on Sunday, December 11, at 10 a.m. as we welcome Nutmeg Brass, a brass quintet. They will lead the music during the service with their renditions of Advent and Christmas music.

The historic First Baptist Church on Hill Street in Suffield will have its annual Carol Sing on Sunday, December 11, at 4 p.m. The Second Baptist congregation joins with residents of various faith persuasions from surrounding communities to sing and celebrate the Christmas season.

The first annual Cookie Swap will take place on Saturday, December 17, at 2 p.m. For additional information contact the church office at office@secondbaptistsuffield.org or 860-668-1661.

On Christmas Eve, there are two services in our sanctuary. The 5 p.m. service is led by children and youth and is designed for all ages. ALL children and youth are invited to participate in this service, whether or not you are a regular participant in the life of Second Baptist. Please call the church office for more information. At 10 p.m. a contemplative service of Songs and Readings will be offered.

On Christmas Day, Sunday, December 25, at 10 a.m., Second Baptist Church invites all to attend a service of Sharing of Carols and Personal Reflections.
