Director’s Corner
Suffield is a community full of giving people, and we are so appreciative of our very generous donors here at the Senior Center! We recently purchased a new Hyundai Tucson for transporting our seniors to appointments, shopping and so much more! This purchase was possible through a large anonymous donation through the Hartford Foundation for Public Giving, as well as a large donation from PeoplesBank. When you see this new blue vehicle around town, helping our seniors, and those who need transportation, think of the wonderful people that are invested in our community.

While our Pickle Ball programs continue to fill up every time we open a new date, I wanted to let you know that there are six new courts located behind the middle school at 350 Mountain Road. What is Pickle Ball? It is only the fastest growing sport in the country, and a great way to socialize too! Think of a little bit of oversized ping pong on a small tennis court. Our fitness partner, Suffield Parks & Recreation, hosts a Pickle Ball 101 class so you can learn more about it. For information on all of our fitness programs, please visit: www.suffieldseniorcenter.com.

Lastly, with the summer months approaching, I hope you get a chance to stop by the Senior Center and check out all the happenings or just have lunch on our patio! We have ample parking if you drive, take advantage of our Mini-bus Transportation to get here, or we are close enough for a walk. However, you get here, just get out and socialize while doing something fun. We’d love to see you at the Senior Center!
