New grads toss their hats in the air at the end of their Suffield High School graduation ceremony at Beneski Field on June 10. This was the eighty-fourth annual commencement of Suffield High.
The eighty-fourth annual commencement exercises of Suffield High School’s Class of 2023 was held on a beautiful morning Saturday, June 10 on Beneski Field. Each of the 161 seniors got eight tickets that their family members and guests could use for the lawn, and those without tickets sat in the bleachers. The musical prelude to the ceremony, consisting of several lovely pieces, was performed on the piano by Matthew Legg.
The program included several speakers from the administration and the Board of Education as well as remarks by Class President Ryan Rookey, Salutatorian Vincent Nguyen and Valedictorian Bryanna Tinnirella. Music was beautifully performed by both the SHS Symphonic Band under the direction of Corey Killan and the SHS Concert Choir under the direction of Anthony Ferreira.
