October brings exciting moments to First Church. We welcome Yale Divinity School Seminarian Ali Hager back at First Church, rejoining us in a new role as Seminarian Associate.
Welcome back Ali!
On Sunday, October 1, we worship together celebrating World Communion Sunday. On this day Christians in every culture break the bread and pour the cup together, for we are part of the whole body of believers. We welcome all to partake the bread and the cup with us this Sunday. The bread used during communion will have been baked by our youth during their recent Hands on Faith session!
We will be having our Bible Sunday on October 29. Bible Sunday is a special occasion in which we give Bibles to kindergartners and 3rd graders in our congregation. These Bibles are age-appropriate and offer unique opportunities for our youngest faith family members to explore their faith and the stories and scriptures in the Bible. Contact the church office to sign-up your kindergartner or 3rd grader, and don’t forget to attend worship on October 29.
