Diwali Celebration: Wednesday, November 8 at 7 p.m. Join us in celebrating Diwali, the Festival of Lights! We’ve got fun activities planned, including a visit with a henna artist. Registration is not required.

Rise to the Challenge Book Group: Monday, November 13 at 6:30 p.m. Join us in reading and discussing books that have been challenged and/or banned. Copies of November’s discussion book The Things They Carried by Tim O’Brien are available at the library. Registration is encouraged but not required.

Paper Gift Box Craft: Wednesday, November 15 at 6:30 p.m. Join us for a fun evening of making paper gift boxes! With the holiday season approaching, learn this delightful method of wrapping gifts with library staff member Kelli. Space is limited; registration is required. Adults only.

Free, Confidential Social Services Consultations: Appointments Available Thursday, November 16. Pat Beeman, MSW from Suffield Community Aid, is offering free initial social services consultations on the third Thursday of each month at Kent Memorial Library. Make an appointment if you need help. Movies at the Library: KML is showing movies again! Visit our website at www.suffield-library.org for more information, including this month’s movie and showtimes.

KML Tech Time: Every Wednesday from 1-3 p.m. Please note: Tech Time will not take place on Wednesday, November 22. Do you want help with your laptop, smartphone, or tablet? Don’t let technology frustration hold you back – come to KML Tech Time. Whether you need help troubleshooting an issue, setting up a new device, or downloading eBooks and eAudiobooks, we’ve got you covered!.No registration required. First come, first served.

Fiber Friendly: Wednesdays, November 1, 15, and 29 at 4 p.m. Are you someone who likes to knit, crochet, embroider, or engage in any other fiber-related interests? Join us on alternate Wednesdays for conversation, camaraderie, and fiber artistry. Bring a project you’re working on or start something new. No registration required. Open to all ages, people under the age of 12 must be accompanied by an adult.

Kids Programs
Tallulah’s Nutcracker with the Massachusetts Academy of Ballet. Saturday, November 18 at 10:30 a.m. Two dancers from the Massachusetts Academy of Ballet will be reading “Tallulah’s Nutcracker” by Marylin Singer on Saturday, November 18 at 10:30 a.m. Tallulah has always wanted to be in the Nutcracker ballet and she finally gets her chance!.After the story, learn about the Nutcracker costumes and learn some ballet positions. Families are welcome.

Nutmeg Book Club
Thursday, November 16 at 4 p.m. Join us for a discussion of 2024 Nutmeg Book Award nominees. No registration required. Open to people in grades 5 through 12.
