New Co-ed Scouting Unit Comes to Suffield

The Connecticut Rivers Council of Boy Scouts of America is excited to welcome the chartering of Venturing Crew 261 right here in Suffield Connecticut. What is Venturing BSA? Like its counter parts of Cub Scouts and Scouts BSA, Venturing is a program provided by the Boy Scouts of America. The unit, called a Venturing Crew, is focused on high adventure trips and activities for youth aged 14 to 20. The unit is open to all genders and aims to teach scouts about project and time management while enjoying all the things we love about Boy Scouts of America not limited to camping, canoeing, citizenship, hiking, and traveling. Suffield was chosen to host this unit because it is home to one of the highest quality scouting programs in the area.
