Troop 260, 262 and Crew 261 are always eager to grow and welcome new youth. Scouting is a youth led, year-round program designed to encourage character development, physical activity, community engagement and promote outdoor adventure. Scouting provides education and leadership through advancement opportunities and merit badges. The scout law and oath embody the principles of the program. “A Scout is trustworthy, loyal, helpful, friendly, courteous, kind, obedient, cheerful, thrifty, brave, clean and reverent. On my honor I will do my best to do my duty to God and my country and to obey the Scout law; to help other people at all times, to keep my myself physically strong, mentally awake and morally straight.”

The Scout program welcomes boys and girls, ages 11 to 17. Troop 260 currently has over 25 active male scouts. The program was established in 1991 and has successfully mentored numerous Eagle Scouts through the years. Troop 262 currently has over 15 female scouts. This young troop was established in 2020 and has had tremendous success and great camaraderie. The Venturing program, established in 2023, welcomes boys and girls, ages 14 to 20 from various towns. No experience is required to join any of the programs, just a willingness to learn and eagerness to explore and try new things.
