Happy Spring fellow readers!

On April 11, Kent Memorial Library’s Books & Beyond series will bring you New York Times bestselling author Erica Bauermeister. She will be discussing her latest novel “No Two Persons” at 7 p.m. via Zoom.

Erica is the author of five novels including The Scent Keeper (a Reese’s Book Club pick) and The School of Essential Ingredients. She currently lives in Port Townsend, WA with her husband and 238 wild deer.

One book. Nine readers. Ten changed lives –

Alice has always wanted to be a writer. Her talent is innate, but her stories remain safe and detached, until a devastating event breaks her heart open, and she creates a stunning debut novel. Her words, in turn, find their way to readers, from a teenager hiding her homelessness, to a free diver pushing himself beyond endurance, an artist furious at the world around her, a bookseller in search of love, a widower racked by grief. Each one is drawn into Alice’s novel; each one discovers something different that alters their perspective and presents new pathways forward for their lives.

Together, their stories reveal how books can affect us in the most beautiful and unexpected of ways and how we are all more closely connected to one another than we might think.

Erica is a master of telling a story through the senses, pulling readers deep into the storyline so that they experience it on nearly the same level the characters must.

Don’t miss your chance to interact with Erica Bauermeister on April 11 at 7 p.m.

Copies of the book are available at the library. Registration is required.
