Annual Wildflower Walk – Sunday, April 28 at 2 p.m. Please join us at Sunrise Park for a gentle stroll around White’s Pond. We will leave the parking lot at 2 p.m. sharp and head north around White’s Pond looking for numerous species of native wildflowers. All ages are welcome to come and explore, as well as be dazzled by the variety of plants.
Annual Bird Watching Field Trip – Saturday, May 4 at 8 a.m. This year we will revisit the SLC property on South Grand now that the meadows have grown in and our trail is in place. We will be out for a few hours looking for birds who make their home in woodland, stream and meadow areas. Heading south on South Grand Street, the dirt road entering the property is on the left after passing house #1324. We recommend you bring binoculars and wear boots.
Suffield May Market – Saturday, May 14 at 9 a.m. – 2 p.m. Come by our booth at the Suffield Garden Club’s May Market. We can tell you more about the upcoming Bio Blitz and what is happening at our various properties.
Connecticut Trails Day – Saturday, June 1 at 10 a.m. We will be meeting at the Alcorn Preserve in West Suffield on Mountain Road, just across from the turn onto Phelps Road. Come join for some fresh air and good company walking the Metacomet Trail. We will meet rain or shine.
