Are you looking for great programs for your family to make 2024 your best and most memorable summer yet?

You can stay right here in Suffield and enjoy a variety of new programs. We have many fun programs for the whole family with affordable prices, attentive staff, and programs that will help make summer unforgettable.

We also have a variety of special events evenings including Suffield Night at the Yard Goats, Wednesday night concerts on the green, Saturday outdoor movie nights, and so much more. These special events are in addition to our amazing camps, Monday 5K series, sports camps, classes, and fitness programs!

Are you ready to run or improve your fitness walking?

Come join our informative and fun training program. Yes, running can be fun. All levels of runners are welcome (beginners through advanced).

This program is the perfect way to train for the upcoming Suffield Parks and Recreation 5K Run/Walk and 10K Road Race to be held on Saturday, September 7, and for other local races.

This new running and walking group will also get you in overall great shape and help you make new fitness friends. Led by an experienced runner and coach, each session will start with a warmup, followed by the workout, and ending with a cool-down and stretches. The running workouts will be based on the levels of the runners. The participants will be coached during the session as well as given tools to continue the training on their own. Please wear proper running sneakers and bring water.

Dates: July 10, 17, 24, 31, August 7, 14 and August 21 (as a back-up bad weather day if needed) and will be held on Wednesdays from 7-8 p.m. at XGT Fitness.

The Suffield Summer 5K Race

The Summer 5K Race Series is back once again this summer at Bruce Park! There is a 5K run and also a 2.5K walk/jog. Prizes are given out to the top three overall finishers. The race series is held at 6 p.m. on Mondays June 17, 24, July 1, 8, and 15. All proceeds from the races are given to Suffield Community Aid to help people in our community. Don’t miss out on the opportunity to be a part of the summer race series. Whether you are looking for a competitive challenge, a casual run, or want to support a great cause, the summer race series is perfect for you!

Join us at the 20th Annual Suffield Parks & Recreation 5K Road Race and our 44th Annual 10K Road Race!

Our scenic 5K and 10K Road Races, presented by PeoplesBank, travels Suffield’s historic Main Street, through picturesque rolling farm and residential areas. Running Suffield’s Road Race is running small town America. There is a 2.5K Walk as well as a FREE Kid’s Fun Run prior to the 10K race. Enjoy music and more! It’s a great family atmosphere.

The first 200 to register for the 5K and 10K will receive a FREE race T-shirt. (There is also an option to purchase additional Race shirts for $5 or performance race T-shirts for $10) We will have cash prizes for division winners!

44th Annual 10K Road Race – Time: 9:30 a.m. Fee: $35.
20th Annual 5K Road Race – Time: 9:45 a.m. Eee $25.
2.5K Walk – Time: 9:50 a.m. Fee: FREE.
