West Suffield Congregational Church has one more new thing, a beautiful black satin baby grand piano! Over the past year my choir Director, Ed Napolski, and I have been exchanging ads for baby grand pianos whenever they come up for sale. I don’t think either of us ever envisioned actually getting one; it was more along the lines of having a dream board. Well, our dreams became a reality in a most unexpected way.
When they were gathering things for our rummage sale, two of our congregants, Scott Miller and Jacqui Case, got wind of a baby grand for sale in town. Jackie sent Scott a picture of the piano, it got passed along and the next thing we knew Scott and Ed went to the house of Heidi and Bill Eccles, where the piano resides. Ed loves playing the piano and he was thrilled when he sat down at the Yamaha and heard its first, sweet tones. Apparently, Mr. Eccles felt the same way, because he donated the instrument.
We are beyond grateful and excited to once again add to the sounds of our choir and to raise our voices in song. Thank you, Heidi and Bill. Bon Voyage! We will take very good care of your gift.
Many blessings on you.
