Michele Urch

Suffield’s new Town Clerk, Michele Urch, started her tenure with the town after the retirement of former Town Clerk Kathy Dunai in mid-December.

She has worked as Assistant Town Clerk since 2015 and possesses Connecticut Town Clerk Certification.

Michele has been a Registered Notary Public for 30 years. She is highly motivated, has excellent interpersonal skills, is a great team player and understands strict confidentiality.

Michele has had years of experience administering oaths of office to newly elected officials, dealing with land records, burial records and permits, issuing absentee ballots, and assisting in the posting of minutes and agendas to the Town website.

She has worked on certifying copies of vital records which are filed at the Town Clerk’s office, and she understands the importance of accurately maintaining those records.

According to the Town of Suffield website, “The Town Clerk’s office is the official record keeper for the Town of Suffield, responsible for recording, maintaining and certifying land records (including deeds, mortgages, liens, maps, and any other related documents); vital statistics (births, marriages, civil unions, and deaths); minutes and agendas of Suffield’s boards and commissions; and other Town records.”

Welcome to your new position, Michele.
