A Suffield Family in Need

Lincoln Scott

The Scott family’s world recently changed when their son Lincoln was diagnosed with T-cell lymphoblastic lymphoma. At just seven years old, he is now facing a long treatment journey that is expected to last at least two years.

Lincoln is an incredibly sweet, funny, loving little boy who loves being a kid. He loves spending time with his family, playing, dressing up, and making people laugh. Seeing him go from being a happy, active seven-year-old to spending time in a hospital bed has been heartbreaking for the entire family.

They have started a GoFundMe to help the family manage the unexpected financial challenges that come with a long-term childhood cancer diagnosis. The hope is to be able to focus as much of their energy as possible on Lincoln and his treatment without constantly worrying about the financial burden this journey will bring.
Their initial goal was $6,500, and through the incredible generosity of their family and friends, they have already raised approximately $5,900.They are just $600 away from reaching that first goal.

However, because Lincoln’s treatment is expected to continue for at least two years, they have set a longer-term goal of $15,000 or more to help the family throughout his journey.

They are incredibly grateful for everyone who has already donated, shared, prayed for Lincoln, checked on them, or simply let them know that they are thinking about him. They have learned very quickly how much a community can mean during a time like this.

Suffield Volunteer Ambulance, Suffield Fire Department and Suffield Police have stepped up to help raise funds. If you are interested and you can help in any way, go to GoFundMe/help-lincoln-through treatment.
