The Lenten Rose

The Lenten Rose (Hellebores Orientalis) should be appearing in gardens in late winter, but its appearance may be a little later this year due to the recent nor’easters. Although they look like roses, they are perennial flowers that bloom in early spring often during the Lenten season.
