Disassembly Begins

In Suffield Academy's newest construction project, the façade of Memorial Building is to be reassembled on the front of an entirely new and enlarged school building on the same spot. Here in early June the portico's columns are already gone and a worker on the man-lift is removing one of the Ionic column capitals, while another is carrying a column base to be taken away and stored with the rest of the facade.
