The fall season ended strong with many athletes recognized for North Central Connecticut Conference (NCCC) All Conference, All State and qualified for state tournament play. The following players made NCCC All Conference and All State Honors.
Boys XC: Nathan Peskin NCCC All Conference, All State
Field Hockey: NCCC All Conference: Amelia Shanks, Marie Conley, Nuvia Torrez Flores
All State: Ameila Shanks, Nuvia Torrez Flores
Girls Soccer: NCCC All Conference: Hazel Qua, Madealyn Couchon, Mackenzie Fay
All State: Hazel Qua
Boys Soccer: NCCC All Conference: Carter Gnatek, Cole Tkacz
All State: Cole Tkacz
Volleyball: NCCC All Conference: Evangelina Plano, Makenna Sattan, Lauren Lawson
Girls XC and girls swim ended the season with a strong performance at the NCCC XC conference meet and state meet for girls swimming.
Girls soccer and field hockey qualified for the state tournament, Girls soccer played Joel Barlow and Field Hockey played Immaculate. Both teams played hard but unfortunately didn’t advance beyond the first round. Immaculate advanced to win the Class S State Tournament. The boys soccer team and girls volleyball team advanced to the quarter finals. The boys soccer team lost to Tolland in a close game. Tolland advanced to win the Class M State Title. The volleyball team played strong but lost to a strong Nonnewaug team.
The winter regular season has begun. The teams are looking strong and ready to tackle the winter season.
Girls Ice Hockey: Played in two jamborees and then opened with Simsbury at the ISCC on Wednesday, 12/10.
Boys Ice Hockey: Played in several scrimmages before opening on 12/19 with a game away against Shepaug Valley. They played at home on Saturday, 12/20, against Masuk @ the ISCC.
Girls Basketball: Opened the season with Simsbury, Monday, 12/15, home
Boys Basketball: Opened with Coventry, Thursday, 12/18, home
Wrestling: The team hosted a tournament on Saturday, 12/13 and opened with a match on Wednesday, 12/17, home against Granby.
Indoor Track: The boys and girls team competed on Saturday, January 3, for their first meet.
