On a bridge over the Main River in Wurzburg, Germany recently are, from the left, Tom Heffernan, Joan Heffernan and Donna Gosselin holding the Observer, and Roy Gosselin. On the hill in the distance is the Marienberg Fortress.
Happy that she had a copy of the Observer along, Wendy Allerton displays it to the old Greek Gods up on the Acropolis. The remains of the Parthenon stand proudly at the top of the hill. Wendy and Kendall Allerton visited in September.
Standing in front of the tower at Blarney Castle, Laura Fournier may not have tried to kiss the Blarney Stone (few have the courage and gymnastic skill to do so) but she did take the Observer along on her family trip to Ireland this summer. Along with Laura, the travelers included her daughter Rebecca Lavoie (SHS 2011), her mother, Kathy Paul, and her aunt, Margie Voltero of Boston.
Standing with the Observer on an esplanade overlooking the Swan River in Perth, Australia, is Suffield native Deedee Presser, who sent the file during her visit there.
