Designer Purse Bingo

A Success for Local Food Programs!

SCA partnered with 3 other area food banks for another successful fundraiser! The sell-out crowd enjoyed playing bingo and winning designer handbags & raffles. Thanks to everyone who supported this event through participation and sponsorship. Each of the four food programs received $3,000 to combat hunger in their communities!

SCA Food Drive at the Polls for People and Pets:

The food drive at the polls was a great success – despite the soaking rain! SCA volunteers and SHS Interact Club members braved the elements and solicited donations from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. We received a tremendous load of food – for both people and pets! Cash and checks totaled nearly $900! We extend our thanks to all that donated and our amazing and resilient volunteers!

Is Meals-on-Wheels an Option for You?

Qualified homebound seniors, age 60 and  over, living in Suffield can receive healthy lunches and  dinners delivered to their door.  The meals are delivered by SCA volunteers around the noon time hour Monday through Friday.  Weekend meals are also available and are delivered prior to the weekend.  Meals are balanced, nutritious and diet specific.  Residents must sign up for at least two meals per week.  The cold dinner meal is optional.  A $2.50 donation per meal is suggested by the Community Renewal Team to help cover costs.  However, no one is denied a meal if unable to pay.  Contact SCA.
