Helping the Community – Service Above Self

The Club will deliver 5-gallon buckets of sand/salt mixture for winter use to seniors and disabled individuals and families residing in Suffield and West Suffield. Registration is required before mid-November.

Early in October, Rotary members prepared Weekend Food Packs that provide healthy weekend meals to elementary school children in collaboration with seven local Rotary Clubs. The group prepared 3,600 packages to feed over 21,600 people. Suffield’s portion was donated to East Windsor. Members of the Club who participated were Jay Presser, Roger Pratt, Heidi Partain, and Gayle Demko, along with two Interact students, Kayleigh Smith and Madeline Snell. The Suffield Club donated $500 to purchase food for the packs.

Concrete pads for the Sunrise Park playscape are in place but the playscape equipment is backlogged. The Club donated $21,000 to the project.
