The Carrs were in Turkey visiting their children in Istanbul.

The staff of ASSIST, based in Suffield, chose to celebrate the organization’s 50th anniversary with a gala in Berlin, Germany. From the left, perhaps in a local beer garden there, are Anne Stanley, Robin Eastman, Andy Rarus, Bob Stanley, Mart Eastman, and Lisa Rarus. Assist, where Bob Stanley has been president for over 20 years, is a local nonprofit organization that matches academically talented, multi-lingual international students with American independent secondary schools. Their office is in Suffield Village.
