MLK, Jr. Remembered

Guest preacher at this year’s Martin Luther, Jr., Day observance January 19 at Third Baptist Church was the Rev. Dr. Jeff Powell, of the New Antioch Baptist Church in Hartford, shown above in Suffield. The service was wonderfully musical and moving, and Dr. Powell delivered a powerful message. He ended by urging each of those present to follow Dr. King, who didn’t stop at one dream, but, in his famous speech, repeated, “and I have another dream . . . ” continuing until he reached his ultimate dream, when we can all join hands and sing, “Free at last! Free at last! Thank God Almighty. We are free at last!”
