Suffield resident Jamie Deenihan reads from her new book, When Grandpa Gives You a Toolbox, holding the interest of a large crowd of interested children at Kent Memorial Library. The place was buzzing on March 9 with families engaged in several book-related activities whose highlight was the maker-space created and run by Justin and Jessica Walsh. There kids could create imaginative things using cardboard and painter’s tape. That evening $2,000 was raised for a first grade boy from Springfield battling a brain tumor.
