Happy Thanksgiving and Happy Harvest from everyone at Kent Memorial Library!

This month features some great programs including:

A Diwali Celebration on November 14! Thanks to our Head of Circulation, Pinki Shah, we will get a look into this “festival of lights” that celebrates the triumph of light over dark and good over evil, and the blessings of victory, freedom, and enlightenment. Look for educational posts on social media, displays in the windows and special craft programs for children and teens that week as well.

We are partnering once again with Pentimento for a Thanksgiving arrangement for adults. Keep an eye on and the Facebook page for dates and times and registration information.

Join Teen Library Volunteer Sarah Whitehouse for our first-ever Digital Escape Room for teens! November 18 at a time to be determined.

Register online to embark on an exciting quest full of riddles and puzzles to find the lost lighting bolt! This Percy Jackson-themed escape room will be in a Google Forms format and Zoom. There are two levels of difficulty, so grades 6-12 welcome! All registrants will receive one raffle ticket for a chance to win a gift card, and all winners will receive a second raffle ticket! All participants will receive a Percy Jackson gift bag with a clue that can be picked up at Curbside on Monday or Tuesday.

Look out for our monthly themed movie and popcorn packs available to reserve online. Check the website for more information.

Want a sneak peek into December? Polar Express will look a bit different, but Santa has agreed to visit and read the book over Zoom! We will offer a raffle and contest and other surprises for our Gingerbread program this year. Look out for Hanukkah crafts and information as well.

Adult programs is cooking up a fun Mocktail Program that you won’t want to miss either!

Thanks to the Friends for their program support.
