The December meeting of the Suffield Garden Club will be held on December 6 at the Second Baptist Church. Doors open at 10:30 a.m. The program will start at 11 a.m. The guest fee is $10. Currently, masks are required regardless of vaccination status.

We are pleased to welcome our guest speaker, Julie Harrison (Julie, the Garden Fairy). Julie will demonstrate how to create festive designs for the holiday season, including swags and table centerpieces, using mostly materials from her flower farm, Willow View Farm in West Suffield.

Julie is known around the world as Julie, the Garden Fairy through her video work, social media and blog. A landscape designer and decorator by trade, Julie has a flair for creative and imaginative designs that are infused with her own unique sense of style. Julie is the creative force and flower grower at her family’s farm on Sheldon Street. In addition to her Flower Farm Stand, Julie added a pick-your-own-flower field to the farm in 2021, with over 1,000 dahlias and many other species of annual flowers. She knows that good horticulturalists have to get their hands dirty in order to get green. Julie has been a contributor to CBS affiliate WFSB’s Better Connecticut, ABC News 8 Connecticut and Garden Talk on WTIC 1080. Her work includes not only landscape design, video production and hosting but also TV commercials. Julie has a real talentt for growing beautiful things in the garden.
