The Suffield Parks and Recreation Bowling Buddies Group visited the very beautiful Roaring Acres Alpaca Farm on June 15 for an end of spring party and to celebrate some upcoming June birthdays and had a fabulous time.

Suffield is filled with so many treasured places, people and, of course, farms, but there is something truly remarkable about Roaring Acres Alpaca Farm. Everything is terrific about the farm, starting with the warm and very kind owners and staff to the adorable and friendly animals and picturesque setting.

The Bowling Buddies Group has recently ended their thirty-two weeklong bowling season and now are participating in our fun spring and summer events along with our continued weekly zoom programs throughout the summer. Roaring Acres is the perfect place for an enjoyable family or group outing. The incredible farm is home to Huacaya and Suri alpacas, mini horses, goats, Painted Desert sheep, mini donkeys and a variety of chickens, ducks, and geese, including rare and heritage breeds. In addition, they are the home of Jake’s Bees on over 30 acres of beautiful farmland. The owners and staff are incredibly accommodating, knowledgeable and friendly and the on-site farm store has so many fantastic items to purchase. Alison, Lexi , Joe, James, Myla, David and Mikaela all gave our group an informative farm tour, an overview about all the animals with facts and then showed us how to feed the alpacas along with other useful info about the farm.

Members of Bowling Buddies Group gather at Roaring Acres Alpaca Farm for a fun celebration.

As the night came to a close and the sunset brilliantly and beautifully across the horizon shortly before the fireflies started their magical appearance, the smiles, cammadeire and great time that everyone had at Roaring Acres was evident. The farm is truly special, and we really appreciate all that they did to make the night so memorable for the group.

The farm and boutique are located at 685 Hale Street, Suffield CT https://roaringacresalpacas.com and there was ample parking and access. Many thanks to Roaring Alpacas for hosting such a memorable event for The Suffield Parks and Recreation Department’s Bowling Buddies Group. We are already looking forward to when the alpacas will be special guests at our summer camps this year.
