Aid for Ukrainians
We have several families in town who have escaped the war in Ukraine and are working to resettle in the United States. Winter is approaching and warm clothing, shoes and boots will be needed. If you have some clothing that is in good condition, please consider donating. Sizes available upon request.
Gift cards to TJ Maxx, Marshall’s, Walmart, Target, and Macy’s are also very much appreciated; we all know how difficult it can be to find clothing that fits properly! Drop off at the Kent Memorial Library. Also needed: transportation and work opportunities.
There are many more people in Ukraine who are waiting for a family to sponsor them. If you are interested in being a sponsor, inquiring about sizes or any other questions about aiding them, contact Jackie Hemond at jhemond@suffieldct.gov.
