Several activities will be resuming in the fall months at Sacred Heart Church:
Suffield On The Green
Sacred Heart Church (SHC) is recruiting volunteers to man the Parish Booth at Suffield on the Green for Saturday and Sunday, September 10 and 11. Parishioners who are willing to help should call the rectory to schedule a time. This year the Knights of Columbus will be sponsoring the annual event with the Suffield Rotary.
Religious Education
Registration for Religious Education is in progress. Information can be found at shc_dre@sbcglobal.net. Kindergarten classes are being planned for Sunday mornings on twice a month basis. There will be an early and a late session. Classes will begin in October.
There will be a mandatory meeting on September 13 at 7 p.m. in the church for all students in the Confirmation Class. Either the Confirmation Sponsor or a parent should also attend. The Confirmation Ceremony will take place on Sunday, October 30 at 2 p.m., at the Cathedral of Saint Joseph in Hartford.
The Sacred Heart Youth Ministry which is open to students in grades 10 through 12 began meeting in August and for future activities visit

Social Action Committee
The Social Action Committee will continue assisting the Suffield Community Aid with monthly food drives and collections of socks and underwear. The recent school supplies netted $2,300 to assist them in providing necessary school supplies. The response to the outreach to the Missionary Appeal is providing over $7,000 to the Diocese of Sylhet in Bangladesh to provide food, medical assistance and education for its needy residents.
Our parish is always ready to provide whatever assistance is needed in the Suffield community, both spiritual and tangible.

Sacred Heart has developed a new logo: Sacred Heart, The Catholic Heart of Suffield, the united parish family of St. Joseph and Sacred Heart. The emphasis is on coming together and moving forward to serve the needs of the local community and beyond.
Sacred Heart Church, Suffield is looking for Soprano, Tenor, and Bass Section Leaders!
