This October 7, 1977, photo of the house at 78 South Main Street was taken to publicize the Suffield Woman’s Club’s second annual Decorators’ Showcase. It was open daily for two weeks after the event’s opening on October 9. The house was unoccupied at this time, following its Suffield Academy ownership. The old mansion, built by Moses Rowe in 1767, has been significantly altered since this photo. The photo view seems to be from the south-east.
