This October 7, 1977, photo of the house at 78 South Main Street was taken to publicize the Suffield Woman’s Club’s second annual Decorators’ Showcase.
It was a story of miscommunication, uncommunication, and perhaps misrepresentation when Peter Daub and his wife Christiane traveled to Suffield to look for a home here.
By the Observer’s copy deadline on September 15, there was a considerable group of men and boys busily at work at tables in the new Jewish school’s big library.
A surprising piece of publicity became available in early April with several pages of online information about a new Yeshiva that was coming to Suffield.
The “hard opening” took place at half past noon, but normal hours are every day but Monday, noon to 9:00.

Boy Scout Troop 66, sponsored by the Second Congregational Church, put together a very impressive ceremony on a Sunday afternoon in early June.
After a one-month installation project, it looked like the new multi-use trail for about a mile along Mountain Road was ready to open on July 1.
