ACES High Has a Successful Season

In April, Aces High Robotics competed at the New England Championship event at the Big E. At the event, the students were recognized for developing innovative control components on their robot.
The Aces High Robotics Team traveled to Wilby High School in Waterbury in March to face off against 36 other teams from New Hampshire, Massachusetts and Connecticut.
REEFSCAPE, the 2025-2026 theme for FIRST Robotics FRC Teams, is an exploration of ocean reef ecosystems and building reef system sustainability.

Team testing the robot – Students from Windsor Locks and Suffield High Schools test out the intake and shooting functions of the robot to prepare for their first competition at Wilby High School in Waterbury. Now that the 2024 challenge has been revealed, Aces High Robotics is busy seven days a week. Competition season is long and demanding, but the payoff is tremendous. The students from Suffield and Windsor Locks High Schools dedicate countless hours to design, fabricate and build their robot based on specifications that were given during kickoff in January.
The most outstanding students in tenth or eleventh grade from each First Robotics Competition or First Tech Challenge robotics teams can be nominated for an individual award called the FIRST Dean’s List Award, sponsored by the KAMAN Foundation.
The 2023 First Robotics Competition is called First Energize and is about global energy and sustainability concepts in engineering and design, presented by the Gene HAAS Foundation.
