WSVIA TAG SALE

The West Suffield Village Improvement Association will hold its annual tag sale Saturday, April 4 from 9 a.m. – 2 p.m. at Academy Hall, 1499 Mountain Road. Donations may be dropped off the mornings of March 28, April 2 and 3.

Academy Hall Open for Rental

Following the annual tag sale on April 4, the West Suffield Village Improvement Association will open Academy Hall for rental as usual. The Hall can accommodate small groups of up to 50 in our downstairs space or larger groups up to 100 upstairs.

Ice Harvest

Once again, weather permitting, the Suffield Historical Society, Suffield Land Conservancy and Noble & Cooley Museum will host ice cutting on the Mill Pond in Granville, Mass. (Water Street) from noon to 3 p.m. on Saturday, February 1.

Vintage Fashion Accessories Shown

On December 7 and 8, come visit the King House Museum decked out in its Christmas finery for HolidayFest and showing an exhibit of vintage hats, bags and diverse other accessories which complemented the fashions of yesteryear.

King House Ice Cream Social

The Suffield Historical Society’s annual Ice Cream Social will take place on the King House Museum’s lawn on Tuesday, July 9 from 5:30–7:30 p.m. 

Bring friends and family, pack a picnic supper and enjoy dessert on us! The event provides an old fashioned evening of face-to-face socializing and delicious ice cream.

Clothing from the Attic Shown at the King House

This summer the Suffield Historical Society is displaying a new exhibit at its King House Museum entitled “Clothing  From the Attic.” Professionally mounted by consultant Stacey Danielson with help from summer intern Myra Edmonds, a student of fashion history and design at NYU, the exhibit highlights some of the best pieces of a collection which has been in storage for many years.
