Suffield Democrats met at a caucus on July 22 at the Suffield Volunteer Ambulance Association to consider endorsing candidates for the November town elections. A full room of 50 or more people attended and gave enthusiastic and unanimous support for an excellent slate of candidates.
At a caucus in late July, approximately 100 registered Democrats met to endorse candidates for the November elections.
The Town Meeting on the fiscal year 2017-18 budget was held on May 10th at Suffield High School with 90 people present.
By now, most people have heard that this will be an especially difficult budget year for state legislators in Hartford.
During December, Suffield was able to go to the bond market to borrow $9.1m for the road repair and construction project approved by voters in a referendum in the fall of 2015.
First Selectman Melissa Mack and the Board of Selectmen hosted a three board meeting that included the members of the Board of Finance and the Permanent Building Commission on Monday, September 26.
