On a recent Viking cruise, Ed and Jean Landry and The Suffield Observer stop in front of the statue of Cuba’s national hero, Jose Marti, in the eponymous park that is the central point of Cienfuegos, Cuba.

Cheryl and Richard Leach took the Observer and their children to Paris and spent New Year’s Day at Disneyland. That’s Mom holding the bag, and Disney’s Parisian version of the Magic Kingdom’s Cinderella Castle in the background.

David Cortelli and grandson, John Leahy III, display the Observer on the deck of the USS Yorktown, the aircraft carrier built during WWII that is now a museum ship in Charleston, S.C. Mr. Cortelli was attending the annual reunion of his Navy ship, the USS Bryce Canyon. The impressive bridge in the background crosses the end of Charleston harbor.

Tim Allerton and his daughter Kennelly took the Observer to South Africa where they joined Kennelly’s sister Kendall for some vacation time. Kendall was in Capetown finishing her study abroad, so it was a short trip to the “Most Southwestern Point of the African Continent” for a picture of the sisters with Kendall holding the paper.
