The Friends of the Farm at Hilltop, Inc. (FOFAH) will celebrate its 20th anniversary this year, and many events are being planned to celebrate this milestone with the community.

A Lifetime Achievement Award, a painting of the center of town featuring the library (by our own Observer volunteer, Peggy MacKinnon), was presented to Ruth Zimmerman, for the countless hours she spent setting up the office at the Observer. Another Lifetime Achievemnt Award, a 1962 painting of Suffield Center (also by Peggy MacKinnon), was presented to Lester Smith for the sleepless nights he spends working at the paper submitting articles, photos, writing captions, etc. Ann Kannen laughs as Lester points out where he got his hair cut 60 years ago! Observer Chairman Jay Presser presents a Sam Award to Joan Heffernan for the amzing photos she submits monthly to the paper. She loves taking bird, nature and landscape photos for the Observer.
The Rotary Club of Suffield will once again be delivering five-gallon buckets of sand/salt mixture to seniors and disabled individuals and families residing in Suffield and West Suffield on December 11.
The Suffield Garden Club was the recipient of the East Windsor transition student community service outreach program on Wednesday, October 10.
The December meeting of the Suffield Garden Club will be held on December 6 at the Second Baptist Church.
The Suffield Players are ready to impart some holiday cheer with our annual holiday benefit featuring the classic tale by Charles Dickens A Christmas Carol adapted for stage by Ryan Bird.
We are happy to announce the Suffield Historical Society will hold its holiday exhibit at the King House Museum on December 4 and December 5 from 11 a.m.- 4 p.m.
Our theme this year is Vintage Sports Paraphernalia, and we will be showing equipment, photographs and memorabilia. Come and enjoy our exhibit and holiday decorations in Dr. King’s lovely 18th century home. Please bring your masks.
