On March 22, as it approaches its fiftieth year of operation, the Suffield Volunteer Ambulance Association Annual Awards Banquet was held to celebrate all of those who contribute to the success of an organization which serves the town so well, and to identify a few individuals for special awards.
Over two decades ago, a program was initiated that has now become a proud community tradition: the Suffield Hall of Honor.
Despite some early setbacks, first-time director, Jack Flanagan, and the multitude of students and staff involved in the Suffield Middle School production of Willy Wonka Jr. embodied the optimistic philosophy of the lead protagonist of the play, Charlie Bucket.
