Summer is finally here and in full swing! I’ve been hearing about lots of wonderful places and events residents are planning to enjoy.
This year’s spring was highlighted by a notable chill in the air. I have wondered if the budget news from Hartford is to blame.
This year’s budget presents a great challenge for the Boards of Selectmen, Education and Finance.
I would have liked to write this month’s update with glad tidings of spring flowers and sunny days, but the State’s budget woes bring forecasts of cloudy days ahead.
This month’s article is devoted to items regarding the Town’s safety, one of the most important responsibilities I am entrusted with as your First Selectman.
Recent happenings in the Town of Suffield mirror February’s blizzard-like conditions at times; there is much to share with residents after a flurry of activity!
The Town was delighted to end 2016 with the excellent news that we maintained our S&P bond rating of AA+ and Suffield’s outlook improved from stable to positive.
As the Town engages in its due diligence preparing for two large building projects in 2017, discussions are underway regarding the most appropriate contracting model to ensure the greatest success.
November marks my one-year anniversary as First Selectman. I truly enjoy working for the Town of Suffield, especially getting to know so many residents and business leaders.
Suffield on the Green kicked off fall with residents and energetic town employees contributing to its success.
