Preppers Please!

Preppers take text material submitted to the paper and “prep” it in column format. They also serve as copy editors, adjusting details to the Observer’s standards. Preppers work from the 10th of the month to the 16th. Shifts are usually scheduled in two hour time slots. Contact us at inbox@thesuffieldobserver.com or (860) 668-7442 if you are interested in joining our team of volunteers.

Bradley International Airport #3 in the U.S.

The Connecticut Airport Authority (CAA) is pleased to announce that Condé Nast Traveler released the results of its 31st annual Readers’ Choice Awards with Bradley International Airport recognized as the 3rd best airport in the U.S.

Notes from the Chair

The staff of the Observer was generally happy with the October issue. We thought it had a variety of interesting articles and some beautiful pictures. It also contained a slightly revised Voters Guide, published a month earlier than traditionally had been the case to give voters more time to reflect and with a revised format, designed to give the candidates greater latitude to describe their virtues. Unfortunately, as some of you may have noticed, it arrived several days later than our goal of town wide delivery on the first of the month. For that we apologize.
