DAR Workshop

The Sibbil Dwight Kent Chapter (Suffield) of The Daughters of The American Revolution (DAR) will sponsor a workshop to assist individuals starting a genealogical search or continuing to gather information about their ancestry, to be held in the training room of the Suffield Volunteer Ambulance Association, 205 Bridge Street, Suffield on Saturday, February 15 at 10 a.m.

Genealogical Workshop

A workshop for lineage research, which is open to the public, will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, April 28 at the Second Baptist Church, 100 N. Main Street. The workshop is sponsored by the Sibbil Dwight Kent Chapter of the Daughters of The American Revolution.

DAR Students Recognized

Michael Joseph Barron, Suffield High School senior, and Ashley Elizabeth O’Brien, Windsor Locks High School senior, have been selected as recipients of the Sibbil Dwight Kent Chapter of the Daughters of The American Revolution Good Citizen Award.

Hazardous Waste Collection Day

It is time to start collecting your materials to bring to Suffield’s Household Hazardous Waste Collection Day, scheduled for Saturday, April 8, from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the town highway garage on Ffyler Place behind the new CVS plaza.

First Church Fall Kick Off

First Church of Christ, Congregational, UCC will be having its Fall Kick-off on Sunday, September 11 at 11:30 a.m. in Fellowship Hall for youth, families and adults.

Flag Collection

Suffield’s Sibbil Dwight Kent Chapter of The Daughters of The American Revolution is collecting used American flags to ensure that they are disposed of properly.
