Dalia Alberdi of West Suffield has been officially appointed administrator of Manchester Manor Health Care Center, following her recent successful completion of the state and federal Nursing Home Administrator licensure requirements and examinations.
May 16 kicked off EMS Week. This year’s theme was “This is EMS: Caring for Our Communities.”
The Town of Suffield released an on-line survey to determine resident perceptions of both housing needs and possible strategies looking forward. The survey plays an important step in the process of preparing an Affordable Housing Plan as required by State law.
Boy Scouts of America’s motto is “Be Prepared.” In this photo Troop 260 is preparing for a trip down the Allagash River in northern Maine by practicing whitewater canoeing on the Farmington River during a weekend in May.

Being a newspaper, every now and then we have the great pleasure of publicly thanking a person who has toiled in the background for many years, performing essential work and serving as a backbone of the organization. As chair I have that honor on behalf of so many who have worked with Mary Ann Muska as she tirelessly volunteered thousands of hours for The Suffield Observer.
At PeoplesBank on Bridge Street, the shovel operator gathers a claw-full of broken concrete as another worker makes a shower of sparks cutting off an old handrail. After several weeks working inside, landscape and entry revisions have begun outside.
