June 5 was the 20th anniversary of this great series, now designated the Paul Simison Firemen’s 5K, and the occasional light sprinkle was just right for helping the runners thrive.

July 4th, International Left-Hander’s Day, Mosquito Day, Be An Angel Day, and Women’s Equality Day (signing of 19th Amendment).
In my short time in office I’ve had the privilege of extending gratitude and appreciation on behalf of the town to many who volunteer for the betterment of our community.
The public is encouraged to attend these commission meetings.
In the last few months there has been continuing discussion surrounding the abatement of environmental hazards at BSCC and how that is being funded. The abatement of Bridge Street School is a necessity and a town obligation in order to move forward with renovation into a community center.
The Suffield Firemen’s Association will be holding their second annual free Family Day and Fireworks on Saturday, July 16, at Spaulding School from 4-9 p.m.
The 1867 barn at the Phelps-Hatheway house will come alive with color during our third annual Textile Trunk Show!
The contributions by Dan and Allyson to Suffield and the surrounding communities over the years have been too numerous to document, but let me describe just a few.
