Several members and prospective members of the Sibbil Dwight Kent Chapter of the Daughters of The American Revolution met for tea at the home of Judith Hanmer on Saturday, April 29.
The energy level is high with the anticipation of Babb’s Beach and Park opening for the summer season.

At a special ceremony on May 3, SBTR Owner-Director Celia Moffie awarded M. Althea Scheller Scholarships to Jordyn Isabelle, Kelly McKinstry and Ansha Siawor.
The court decision reported last month, restoring the Zoning and Planning Commission’s 2014 approval of reopening the Lake Road sand pit, required that the road be relocated onto previously excavated land, with the implication that permission for residents’ use of the road would continue.
Bernard Duffy of Broad Brook, a retired long-time police officer, serving as a Lieutenant with the Enfield Police Department, and later as a Captain with East Windsor, will be the featured artist in the June show at the Pinney Gallery, found in Suffield’s Kent Memorial Library, currently occupying temporary space at 61 Ffyler Place, behind the CVS Plaza.
The Emergency Aid Association wishes to extend a big thanks to all the residents who donated through the Mail Carriers Food Drive held on May 13.
