Book Collection Resumes

The Friends of Kent Memorial Library will resume monthly book collections on Saturday May 1 from 10 a.m. to noon in the lower lobby of Kent Memorial Library.

Greater Together Community Fund Accepting Grant Requests

The Hartford Foundation for Public Giving has established a $100,000 Greater Together Community Fund for the Town of Suffield. In 2019, the Hartford Foundation established a Greater Together Community Fund in each of the 29 towns within the Foundation’s region to support residents in taking ownership around the needs in their towns, encourage broad and inclusive civic engagement and anchor the Foundation in each town.

I know exactly where I was when I saw my first scarlet tanager. I had been visiting my grandmother in Glastonbury and had spent the day exploring the brook and the ruins of the old gunpowder mill which was later used to process cotton, both around the corner from her house.
