This was the ninth year that the Friends’ book sale has been held at Sacred Heart Church and once again Father Ted Hall proved to be an ideal space.
It was one for the books: this year’s book sale brought in a record-breaking $17,600.
It is with much regret that the Friends of the Library have decided to cancel their annual book sale, which had been scheduled to take place this September at Father Ted Hall.
The final book collection at 61 Ffyler Place was held on June 1. The Friends’ monthly book collections will begin at the newly renovated library at 50 North Main Street on Saturday, July 6, from 10–noon.
This was the fourth year that the book sale has been held at Sacred Heart Church, and once again Father Ted Hall proved to be an ideal space.
The Friends of Kent Memorial Library are putting the finishing touches on this year’s book sale. Happily, it will once again be held in Father Ted Hall at Sacred Heart Church at 446 Mountain Road.
On November 5, families with young children and adults of all ages gathered at the Suffield Senior Center on a grey Sunday afternoon for a Kent Memorial Library program performed by Odds Bodkin.
Since the Kent Memorial Library will be closed for the holiday on July 2, the Friends’ July book collection will be held on Saturday, July 9, from 10 a.m. to noon.
