Welcome spring and Connecticut Landmarks’ 2018 season! The Phelps-Hatheway House & Garden is delighted to welcome Lynda Montefusco to our gallery with her exhibition, A Stroke of Color.
The staff of the Phelps-Hatheway House and Connecticut Landmarks are pleased to welcome Lynda Montefusco to our exhibition gallery for the upcoming season. From May through October, visitors to the Hatheway House museum can view a selection of Lynda’s favorite paintings.
Welcome spring in all its glory with the annual Mother’s Day Tea on Sunday, May 13 at 2 p.m. at the Phelps-Hatheway House! Each year, our costumed staff welcomes guests to our historic house for a splendid repast of tea sandwiches, scones with homemade lemon curd and jam, quiche, fresh fruit, a seasonal cake, and many pots of tea to lift the spirits and usher in the spring.
Stunning floral displays created by our own Suffield Garden Club, a festive cocktail party, sweet Teddy Bear Tea and a book signing to honor a new publication will usher in Home for the Holidays at the Phelps-Hatheway House. This year, the skilled ladies of the Suffield Garden Club, many of whom have graciously tended the Hatheway Gardens for many years, will dedicate hours to making wreaths, floral arrangements, and table décor and to embellishing live evergreen trees both inside and out of our 18th century museum.
The Phelps-Hatheway House will celebrate the Suffield on the Green celebrations with a slate full of fun and fascinating events.
Calling all campers and budding historians! The Phelps-Hatheway House and Garden has an exciting week planned for you from July 31-August 4, 2017!
The Phelps-Hatheway House offers many opportunities with Open House days, walking and slavery tours, and cocktails in the garden this month to explore our town, to learn about its history and celebrate the exquisite beauty of the early summer.
Sunday, May 14 at 1 p.m. celebrate spring and the beautiful lilacs at the Phelps-Hatheway House and Garden!
Experience the season’s splendor at the Phelps-Hatheway House where well-known designer Bob Whitney interweaves fresh floral art with family heirlooms, European accents with colonial charm.
Bring your beloved bear to the Phelps-Hatheway House on Saturday, December 3 from 11 a.m. to noon or 1 to 2 p.m. for a sweet treat and celebration of all things Christmas!
