After a year of research, reflection and prayer, the active membership of The First Church of Christ, Congregational in Suffield voted in January to become an “Open and Affirming” church, meeting the criteria set by the United Church of Christ.

Suffield’s annual observance of Martin Luther King, Jr., Day, held each year by the Greater Suffield Interfaith Council at the Third Baptist Church, has been noted not only by good encouragements to follow King’s teachings and example, but also by the powerful, moving music.

Feeding the Children Project Provides 10,000 Servings

In support of a charity called Feeding Children Everywhere, about 50 parishioners of Suffield’s First Church stayed after Sunday Service on October 23 and gathered in Fellowship Hall to become volunteer assembly line workers.
