Blue lights, silver tablecloths, celebratory balloons, and the fruits of several Big 350th Anniversary projects welcomed Suffield residents on October 10 at Suffield High School.
If you didn’t have a chance to purchase a Suffield or West Suffield 350th anniversary crock earlier this year, you can still buy one at our partner’s website: AllSignsCo.com/stoneware.html. We chose their “oak tree” design (fourth row down) and selected the “Anderson” font that curves just a little bit. Top line text is either “Suffield, CT” or “West Suffield, CT” and the bottom line is “Est. 1670”. Crocks ship free to the lower 48 states, and their prices are the same as the 350th committee charged.
If you are looking for holiday gifts that are uniquely Suffield, check out the 350th Anniversary booth at this year’s Christmas Bazaar.
The fireworks that followed the grand anniversary parade, launched from the playing field in Bruce Park, seemed more densely packed than usual.
Lots of planning, time and effort went into Suffield’s wonderful 350th celebration on the weekend of October 9-11.
The Suffield 350th Anniversary Parade steps off at 10 a.m. on October 9 down historic Main Street, beginning at the intersection of Mapleton Avenue.
