In Roman times, in the first and second centuries, A.D., the rich collected scrolls. Seneca, a Roman philosopher, himself a writer of scrolls, labeled these dilettante scroll collectors as status seekers.
In April, Kent Memorial Library is continuing with its popular Books
& Beyond series. Susan Mihalic, author of her debut novel Dark
Horses, will be joining us on Thursday, April 21 at 7 p.m. via Zoom to
discuss her book.
Kent Memorial Library is excited to continue our popular “Books & Beyond” series in 2022.
Until recently, the library had limited hours. But no longer! It is open 10 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday and on Friday & Saturday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
This fall was a busy time at the Kent Memorial Library. In addition to a steady stream of patrons, the library hosted thirty-three programs in October.
