Acting, singing, dancing, directing, music, lighting, sound, costuming, design, video, management, and more! The Suffield Players offer scholarship assistance to students of any age for study in the performing arts.
The Suffield Historical Society’s Zoom meeting on Tuesday, May 11, at 7 p.m. will feature Kevin Johnson, who will dramatically reenact the historic figure of Jordan Freeman, an African-American servant of John Ledyard and the body servant of Col. William Ledyard in the Revolutionary War.
The Hartford Foundation for Public Giving has established a $100,000 Greater Together Community Fund for the Town of Suffield. In 2019, the Hartford Foundation established a Greater Together Community Fund in each of the 29 towns within the Foundation’s region to support residents in taking ownership around the needs in their towns, encourage broad and inclusive civic engagement and anchor the Foundation in each town.
The Suffield Observer will sponsor two scholarships to Suffield residents who will be entering an accredited two-or four-year college in September. The scholarships honor Samuel S. Fuller, founder of the paper, and Robert O. Y. Warren, a former Chairman of the Board.

The Suffield Land Conservancy (SLC) is pleased to announce the recent donation of over 60 acres of land off of Taintor Street. The Robert W. Baker Nursery and Baker family gave this property to preserve the lot that includes woodlands, open meadows and wetland areas, including vernal pools.
As we look forward to warmer weather, longer days, and the safety and promise of COVID-19 vaccinations, ABAR (anti-bias, anti-racist) Suffield members have been busy reorganizing for the future and preparing for some exciting spring and summer events.
